100% Glass/Ceramic Heating Element!
The Silver Surfer's 100% glass/ceramic heating element is the first of its kind. The cool air enters the glass heater through the hole in the bottom. The air passes the ceramic heating element heating up, and out through the hole at the top of the glass heater. The glass becomes very hot so it also becomes part of the air heating process. That is why it is an glass/ceramic heater.
What makes our heating element so unique?
- The ceramic part of the heater is what sets this unit apart from all the competitors out there. The SSV's ceramic heater is top of the line quality. No expense has been taken in effort to provide the customer with the best product on the market. A ceramic heating element is great because ceramic gives off no toxins at all. Ceramic posses the same quality as glass as it doesn't emit any toxins when heated to very high temperatures unlike metal.
Questioning the ceramic still?
The SSV's ceramic heater is made from Aluminum ceramic. Aluminum ceramic features the same crystal structure as a sapphire and ruby after the sintering process. The sintering process is when the ceramic is heated to a very high temperature and basically melts, hardens again and becomes harder and stronger than it was before the sintering process. The SSV's heater is made by printing a resistor on a sheet of aluminum ceramic. This is then rolled into a rod and sintered into one solid piece. The picture below shows how our heater is made. Other cheaper ceramic heaters are made by putting a nichrome wire in a ceramic tube and capping it with a ceramic putty. Our ceramic heater has the resistor completely encased by the ceramic so no oxidation occurs. This is the reason that we can offer a 3 year warranty.
- Another benefit of the SSV's unique glass/ceramic heating element is that the air is uncontaminated by any metal ions or free radicals that may be released when the metal is heated to very high temperatures. The user experiences a 100% glass on glass experience. Our unit uses a metal screen in the wand but the air has cooled enough by passing threw your tobacco, so no metal ions are released from the screen.
- The Silver Surfer Herbal Vaporizer also does what no other vaporizer in its class can do by the wand aiming up instead of down!! All of our competition uses a heater that points up in the air. Gravity is a matter of life so when you go to use the competitions models all your herbal matter falls out. This is not the case with the SSV! The glass heating element is at 90 degree angle. The 90 degree angle combined with the angle of the SSV gives you a heating element that is pointing down. Gravity now becomes your friend with the SSV and the herbal matter does not fall out of the wand! Can you dig it!!
- The glass cover is made with PYREX brand glass and NORTHSTAR colored borosilicate glass (PYREX is just a brand of borosilicate glass.) The glass part of the heating element can be changed to give your SSV a whole new look! You can even have a custom color made for you if it is available.
